Job Description

A Senior Account Executive has day-to-day responsibility for the management of their account. You will focus on the production and delivery of creative work in partnership with your project management counterparts, ensuring success for both client and agency. This is the ideal role for someone who is motivated and talented in building client relationships while managing all the account details.

Some responsibilities include:

Client Relationships

  • Build and maintain good client relationships by communicating frequently with multiple clients daily
  • Participate actively in client calls and help run and assist client meetings
  • Ensure alignment of next steps at the end of all meetings internally and client facing
  • Meet regularly with client teams to plan and progress account work
  • Analyze clients marketing plans


  • Develop an understanding of marketing strategies for targeting an internal employee audience
  • Define marketing opportunities that strengthen brands and the agency’s relationships
  • Develop an understanding of why creative work has been developed and its relevance to a client’s strategy
  • Stay up to date on knowledge of client’s business, competition, and latest industry news and trends


  • Develop and initiate briefs
  • Brief creative teams, ensuring, at all times, that they are fully aware of the client’s objectives/requirements/schedules
  • Ensure that the creative output matches the client’s brief
  • Be comfortable delivering, presenting and explaining the agency’s position on the opportunities and the role of the work in turning those opportunities into action
  • Champion and demonstrate passion for the agency’s creative capabilities
  • Stay up to date with ever changing client branding guidelines to ensure all work is on brand from a visual and messaging perspective


  • Demonstrate organizational and time management skills in partnership with project management counterparts
  • Ensure senior account team members are aware of all critical client deadlines to enable them to support you in prioritizing work
  • Take client briefs for assigned projects and draft marketing communications SOWs
  • Brief appropriate agency team members on assigned projects
  • Manage and update projects on a daily basis
  • Take client feedback throughout the development process and act as an intermediary between client and agency throughout the sign-off process
  • Ensure that both internal and external teams involved in projects are informed of all developments, including time, budget and delivery issues, at every stage of the sign-off process
  • Identify opportunities to improve agency process
  • Communicate resourcing needs for upcoming projects early and often and manage multiple resources in partnership with other agency account team


  • Foster good relationships with all internal departments and cross-functional teams
  • Encourage teamwork and good communication
  • Proactively support your account team: Sr. Account Director, additional Sr. Account Executive and Project Manager-suggesting new ideas and questioning thinking where appropriate
  • Refer to team members for advice and support
